About the Mix:

This reconstructed mix is the final installment in the Stereoscopic Poincaré series. It is a new mix over one hour long in which the textures, voices, and sequencer patterns are arranged according to the Delian Mode system. Delia Derbyshire loved the poetry of Octavio Paz. Trapped in a sound labyrinth, this mix features voice and samples from the Delian archives (Courtesy of the Center for Electroacoustic Studies in Manchester) and rare unreleased sequencer patterns by Adi Newton. This final installment was arranged, performed, and produced by Mauricio Reyes.

This massive sound sculpture is a cerebral but violent trip, a return to a reality in which truth is stranger than fiction.

This recording is an introduction to Reyes’ next project “FALLING” a tribute to the sound architect Delia Derbyshire.
