ClockDVA is increasingly regarded as one of the pre-eminent pioneers of experimental electronic music in the pre/post-1980s, in association with Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire. This is ClockDVA’s ninth studio album, having been composed/perfected over a number of years during which extensive European live events have been performed a number of other projects have been developed and new and old releases have been issued. This album sees the DVA sound reach a certain apotheosis in terms of the electronic sounds and the unique voice that DVA has pioneered and developed since its inception in 1978. The themes here are the human emotional response to the psychological and physiological dystopia between a Technology of control and one of autonomy and noesis. The soundtracks of near-future science fiction, where the negation of human connection is further eroded and alienated over time, as AI becomes more ubiquitous and autonomy is reduced, and the human handprint becomes a faded imprint, and the human voice is silenced by Machines of Intimidation.

NOESIS – BEYOND THE HAUNTOLOGY OF THE PAST WE CAN CREATE ANEW. It’s of no real value to feel that everything as been done, if the past overcomes us or believes there is nothing new. We can only express in this moment, to create and express in this present time which is NOW what we think and feel.
